Inteset - The Evolution of Entertainment in the Yachting
Industry
Hanover, Massachusetts August 1, 2005 - Thanks to the new era of digital
mediums, entertainment technologies are evolving at a historic rate. One of the
largest benefits of digital media is its ability to be presented on a single converged platform.
Inteset has capitalized on this aspect by producing a sleek line of simple-to-use, high-quality devices
where each consolidates more entertainment features into a single unit than ever before. Imagine
being able to store and playback hundreds of movies, thousands of albums, entire photo and video
collections, as well as watch, pause, and record HDTV, and surf the Internet all from one
converged system. In addition, this media can be distributed simultaneously to different locations
using Inteset extender devices.
Inteset products are well suited for the yachting world due to their
enormous space saving and ease-of-use attributes. One server can replace more than ten A/V
components and several drawers filled with movie and music cases. Wiring for distributed audio
and video relies on a single network cable. With virtually no learning curve, guests can
control any entertainment feature from a single wireless touch panel device.
The following describes a possible scenario using the Inteset Denzel
server, VANA extender, and advanced control systems on a yacht:
In one cabin, a guest easily locates all the movies starring their
favorite actor and chooses one to watch. Another guest in a separate cabin views a Greatest
Moments of Golf DVD from the online collection. On the aft deck, a group takes in a
slideshow of yesterdays activities to a medley of songs from a local musician, while
another group is in the salon watching a recorded episode of Power Lunch. At the same
time, the stewardess is using the in-wall touch panel to select a playlist of
classical music for the crew quarters.
Inteset is being recognized in the entertainment industry as a leader in
media convergence. The home model of Denzel (TP420-SD) and its extender system, VANA
(VA6420-SD), are poised to receive an award from Electronic House Magazine for 2005 Products of the
Year. The benefits of convergence and quality distribution of media are sure to be highly
valued in the yachting industry as well. Products are available via a preferred Inteset dealer.
