Inteset Adds Remote Control via Mobile Devices to its Phoenix Movie ServerInteset adds new built-in capability to control its Phoenix Movie Server product via mobile devices without the need of special downloads and apps.
“It takes about 30 seconds to set up the remote on your device,” says Jeff Lloyd, support specialist at Inteset. “You just need to know the IP address of the Phoenix server which you can get from the Settings menu. From there, you plug the address into your iPad’s browser. You can place a shortcut icon on the home screen of your device to launch the remote quickly. The remote has one-way control over the Phoenix with no lag time,” describes Jeff. The layout of the remote’s button placement was designed with the most commonly used buttons just under the finger tips. The device’s keyboard is used to easily enter text for searching content in your media library. The Phoenix Remote is free and included with all Phoenix systems.
