FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Inteset's All New Phoenix Media Player Streams Blu-ray, Netflix, Hulu, and Other Personal Content Throughout the Home

Inteset is making a splash with its all new, versatile Blu-ray media player/storage system that streams Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D™ and upscaled DVD movies throughout the home. In addition, it provides integrated Netfix and Hulu subscription-based streaming services. The Phoenix Media Player is a powerful, yet tiny, affordable system that can be configured as a single room or multi-zone player. The unit can easily be controlled by a simple IR remote, or via advanced bi-directional control devices such as those from AMX, Crestron, RTI, URC, and Apple (iPhone/iPad).

The big screen user experience will impress family and friends with its elegant, simple, full-featured navigation. Get a firsthand look at the Phoenix Media Player user experience by viewing the following video: http://youtu.be/t8bgZmieo2c

So how is the Phoenix Media Player different from the competition and past Inteset products? See the following benefits:

Dealer/Installer Benefits:

  • User Experience – The Phoenix Media Player provides a tailored, Windows 7 Media Center experience designed for high-end A/V installations. Through an embedded environment, Windows Media Center functionality is relegated to the storage and playback of personal media collections such as Blu-ray and DVD movies, music, pictures, videos, and premium streaming services.
  • Extremely Small Footprint – Measuring only 8.75 inches wide and 8 inches deep, two Phoenix units can be combined in a single 1U rack mountable space (1U rack mount plate available). Or, the unit can be placed inconspicuously on a bureau top. Using the VESA holes on its bottom, it can easily be hung on the back of VESA compatible display. These units are perfect for tight areas or marine and aviation installations.
  • Versatile, Simple, Maintenance Free Installations – This system is virtually plug-n-play. Attach three cables to the back of the Phoenix (ie: HDMI, network, and power) and you’re ready to power on. In about 25 seconds, using the remote, choose the media locations on the network, and the system configuration is complete. If any configuration assistance is needed, an Inteset support technician can remotely access the system to help.
  • Affordable – An Inteset home entertainment system including the Phoenix Media Player and local storage of 100 DVDs can be purchased for $3,995 MSRP. Full service, multi-room configurations including two Phoenix Media Players and a TeraRAID IV-NAS Server (860 DVD protected storage) can be purchased for $10,500 MSRP.
  • Hassle Free, High-Capacity Network Storage – The Phoenix Media Player works in tandem with the powerful, high-capacity, Inteset TeraRAID network attached A/V storage servers. Storage capacities of up to 2000 DVD or 400 Blu-ray movies per server can be combined for virtually endless protected storage. Geared for high-definition video streaming, up to 8 simultaneous Blu-ray movies can be streamed over a managed gigabit network. On-board, self-monitoring capabilities and proactive alert services from Inteset ensure trouble-free uptime.
  • Inteset Heartbeat Monitoring Service – Free for the first year, all Inteset devices include proactive system monitoring, parts (advanced replacement), and labor. There are numerous sensors (ie: fan, power, heat, drive, low disk space, etc) on the Phoenix Media Player and TeraRAID Storage Server that will alert Inteset of any exceeded threshold. Inteset will then notify the dealer of the impending problem. A spare hard drive is included with a TeraRAID Storage Server purchase should a drive fail. Drive replacement is simple and takes just a few minutes. The proactive monitoring service is free for the first year and includes a one-time preventive maintenance checkup. Maintenance plans for subsequent years can be purchased ensuring a problem free system and high customer satisfaction.
  • Automated Firmware Updates – Phoenix Media Player units will be periodically updated with enhancements automatically. All firmware updates are initiated by Inteset and no other source (ie: Media Center and Windows Updates are controlled by Inteset).
  • Try and Buy Program – Dealers can try an Inteset Phoenix Media Player (model: PMP01-LSiP) free for 30 days. If not completely satisfied, it can be returned paying only the shipping costs.

Here are some noteworthy features not seen on other systems:

  • Blu-ray 3D™ Support – The Inteset Phoenix Player supports the playback of 3D Blu-ray discs. A 3D HDTV and 3D Blu-ray movie is required.
  • Bitstream Pass-through or Direct Processing of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio – Use a Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD Master Audio capable receiver or pre-amp, or connect the Phoenix Media Player analog outs directly to the amplifier for pass-through or direct HD audio processing.
  • Upscaled 1080p DVD Playback – DVD upscaling technology enhances standard DVDs to HD quality and can be enabled for any stored DVD movie real-time while watching the movie.
  • Integrated Netflix and Hulu Plus Streaming Services – The Phoenix Media Player interface includes integrated access to premium subscription-based streaming services including NetFlix and Hulu (Hulu Plus).
  • AMG Metadata – Automated retrieval of movie and music cover art and profile information is provided by AMG (All Media Guide), the premier, trusted, and reliable media metadata content provider. There are no additional fees for this service.
  • Movie Management and Storage – Inteset has developed a seamless movie storage add-on that works in unison with the elegant and user-friendly Windows Media Center Movie Library feature. Store Blu-ray and DVD movies with full cover art and profile information derived from AMG.
